MAR:A MAR:A (Hand in Hand)

Point Pearce Aboriginal School is committed to providing a high quality teaching and learning program focusing on the early years, within a caring and supportive environment. We will achieve this though:

  • the development and implementation of teaching and learning frameworks that cater for all learners

  • the development of positive relationships and partnerships between parents, teachers and learners

  • creating a learning environment which caters for all learners needs, learning styles and levels of ability whilst at the same time recognising the experiences learners bring to their school community

  • the development and implementation of curricula within the South Australian Curriculum Standards and Accountability frameworks which incorporates community knowledge, support and participation

  • the empowerment of all stakeholders in the school by involving teachers, learners, parents and community members indecision making processes within the school

  • Helping learners to feel confident enough to develop and transfer skills, knowledge and processes to a variety of different contexts

  • Training and development of teachers in assessment protocols, processes and practices that report appropriately and explicitly on learning outcomes through agreed frameworks

  • Development of differentiated, collaborative partnerships which understand the development of skills and processes required to enable independent learning

  • the understanding and development of teaching and learning programs that incorporate Information and Communication Technology used both locally and globally

  • Recognising and developing the potential of each learner by recognising achievement and creating challenging learning goals
